Beauty To My Eyes (Poem Version 1)

Beauty To My Eyes

I want to go to another world
But I don’t want to escape

Let me break into a landscape
Of beauty amidst pain.

Let me land in a sea
Of endless possibility
Where joy doesn’t cease.

It’s like my wife and I
Loving endlessly,
That’s beauty to me.

On a continual quest
For an unquenchable urge,
Like a search for new music,
Music that is to be discovered,
Of past and present.
It’s like a feeling of when you first hear something,
Then you have to hear it again,
And again,
And again.
That’s beautiful.

Art,
Colors illuminating,
Elusive, and transparent,
That’s beautiful.

Film,
Roles personified,
That’s beautiful.

A husband
Sacrificing for his bride,
That’s beautiful.

A Messiah dying,
God rising
For a mortal lifeline,
That’s the greatest beauty
From which beauty flows.
